I realized that I never did post here... oops!
My name is Bill and I moved to BC in late 2001. I grew up all over the midwest and moved here from the west coast. The first year here I rented in South Baltimore before finally buying on McHenry. I really fell in love with the neighborhood and house (especially size for dollar, both compared to where I was renting in Baltimore and Los Angeles values).
I run my own consulting business, centered on advanced transportation technologies and alternative fuels. Twelve years in that industry and I still wonder if it is going to "break" this year or in another ten!? We seem to be able to "keep on keeping on" regardless of world events...
Last fall was a big year... I went to Yosemite to get married to my new wife Kat (from Kathryn). She is now working in DC for a media PR firm. We also rescued a rowdy little puppy last summer, but thankfully she is starting to mellow out.
Sometime back I started volunteering with the Pigtown Main Street program, as do several other BC residents, and eventually became the chair (and part of the WPNPC association). That is rewarding and fun to put my urban planning background to use, although it always goes much slower than we want.
That's about all I can think of... should have probably listed this post a long time ago, but then it would not have had so much "new" stuff on it. ;D
