My husband Ryan (board name: RK) and I are planning to move in to 304 Scott as soon as our house is ready, which should be about March or April at the rate they are going with the building. Excited to see this message board and to meet some of you last night at the Cochon de Ville. We're really eager to move in! I've lived in various places in MD (Germantown, Bethesda, College Park), but never the city and Ryan is from Omaha, Nebraska. We were married this summer and moved to Baltimore with our big friendly bumbling American Bulldog, Cally (think Petey from the Little Rascals--white with a big black eye--don't worry, we're good about cleaning up after her). Ryan's a teacher at an elementary school in the city and I work for the University of MD. We're currently renting up in Charles Village and are loving city life. Our hobbies?? He's a rugby player, but currently on the bench due to a torn ACL injury he is recovering from. We love sports and are hoping to get to some O's and Ravens games. He's a big Husker fan and I'm a die-hard Terps fan. Other than that our main hobby is eating and drinking and trying out the restaurants and bars in the area--is gluttony a hobby? Looking forward to getting to know you and the new neighborhood! Let us know if there are any community projects you need our help with.

Gluttony is a worthwhile pursuit, if you ask me! Welcome to the 'hood!

Welcome Lauren and Ryan!! Thanks for introducing yourselves. My name is Nicole, and my husband is Neil, and we live at 109 Scott. I work in DC for the government, and Neil works mostly in Northern Virginia as a territory manager representing organic foods in Whole Foods markets. We're expecting our first baby in July, so our hobbies right now pretty much look like: get ready for baby, paint the house, buy furniture, figure out finances, etc etc etc... not fun stuff like gluttony and sports, although we like those too. Neil plays paintball with a bunch of guys in Elkridge every few weeks; I don't know if you'd be interested in that but I'm sure you'd both be welcome to play. In any case, hope to see you around the neighborhood, and stop by if you need anything.

Thanks Nicole! Nice to "meet" you! ;D
Congratulations on your baby on the way! How exciting! We probably won't be too far behind you so our hobbies are soon to change. Especially with the new home owner expenses we are about to acquire when we move in!
Hope to meet you once we move in. Just a few more months!

Hi Lauren -- Welcome to the neighbourhood! I'm Carol, and I live at 1022 Barre St. My husband Mitch is a professional musician, and I'm currently a stay at home uber-slacker mom. In my former life, however, I was a comercial artist and designer. :-) Now I just shuttle our son Myles to and from school, volunteer on the PTO -- all that June Cleaver-y kinda stuff I swore I'd never do when I was in my 20s.
My how things change...
