Living in DC I was a little spoiled, having good Ethiopian restaurants on just about every street in my neighborhood...anyone know of any good ones here?
Thanks!

Yes, there is a restaurant called Dukem, which is near the Meyerhoff. I believe it is on Maryland Avenue. They also have a restaurant in DC (on U Street) and the food is very good, especially the Yemiser Wot!

I was staggering over to the liquor store yesterday to stock up for the game when I ran into a brand new building. Anybody know what exactly is going up on the Blvd right across from the library? Residential or commercial?
BTW, go O's!

It's residential. Two houses, I believe.

Definitely residential. Likely the rest of that open space will be developed soon, as well. Apparently years ago (10 or more?) there were homes there but they were leveled after a fire.

I'm very glad to see that parcel is being developed. It was such a terrible eyesore.

The developers name is Tadesse and Associates, Inc., and I hear he represents a collective of investors... does that help?! I do know the person who did the structure design work (facade), and it seems the developer (owner) was both open to the idea of and followed through with accepting the designers plans to make it as historic as possible (design wise, in old rowhouse style).
