I don't think that this section would be statred off properly if we didn't mention our neighborhood coffeehouse, Porters. Great food for breakfast or lunch!! Try the Pigtown Platter, it's a personal favorite. And the prices there can't really be beat.
Plus, it's nice to see someone fix up one of the buildings on Washington and turn it into a thriving business.

I love Porters.. it great food and cheap eats.. My wife and I usually go there on saturdays to get breakfast..
To me, they've totally changed the whole atmosphere on the Boulevard.

I agree with both of you 100%. All community residents should make a point to patronize Porters. It's financial viability has a direct bearing on the quality of life in our community. Have eaten there on several occasions and have never been disappointed.

Sweeties! Darlings!
Just a suggestion... when you mention a business or restaurant, you should include their address (and website, if they have one). Long time residents may completely understand what you're talking about, but new neighbors or potential homebuyers would probably love to know about it.
I managed to figure out that Porters is somewhere on Washington Blvd... one of these days I'll have to stop by and check it out. You make it sound wonderful!
Omigawd, my glass is empty!

I wish Porter's was open in the evenings for coffee -- I could really use a good coffee right about now...and they're closed.

The new coffeehouse in Ridgely's on Washington Blvd is open at night. It also has wifi access if you have a labtop with that feature.
They don't have any on-site made food there, but they do have some deserts and muffins.
I don't think its nearly as good as Porters, but it's a good addition to the neighborhood.

Hey, nice to see you back Ryan, the board has definately missed you.
I've gone to the place a few times. Its called CaPoochino and yes, you're allowed to take your dog there with you. To me, its a totally different place than Porter's. Porter's to me is more like a good restaurant, while this place is much more like a classic coffeehouse. Either way, its great to see development in the neighborhood
